Our goal is to provide services to cultural organizations and individual artists
to enhance the creative growth and development of every community in Franklin County.
We believe the skills and creativity of our local artists will provide a valued natural resource for our area.

Proposed actions of our organization to include:
Supporting cultural events, helping to develop and/or implement arts in education
promoting lifelong learning, and working to further establish accessible art in public places.
We hope to enrich local marketing and encourage community outreach with a creative focus.

EXAMPLES OF INITIATIVES THAT COULD BE IMPLEMENTED WITH COMMUNITY SUPPORT:

ARTS IN EDUCATION:
Raising funds to provide arts instruction and supplies for students in our schools.
Statistically, students who participate in Arts activities perform better in all other areas of study.

LIFELONG LEARNING:
Encouraging, supporting and coordinating classes and workshops in a variety of disciplines
to include music, dance, drama, writing, and visual arts i.e. painting, pottery, photography, etc.
Our goal is include a wide range of people at all skill and age levels, children, adults and seniors.
Facilitating creative thought will improve the quality of life for all who live in Franklin County.

ART IN PUBLIC SPACES
Making art more accessible to the public could include such things as exhibits of local photography, murals created by local children, commissioned sculptures in a local parks
as well as bringing quality traveling collection of art to the museum.

MARKETING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
Projects such as hosting a website would network and promote local artists, galleries, venues and events.
Initiatives could include supporting local cultural arts efforts such as the Else Newell Performing Arts Series,
Florida's Forgotten Coast Plein Air Invitational, Art for Arf, ARTWALK, and so much more.

These are simply ideas and examples, the council will respond to the communities' needs.
